Set-Up Instructions: Eudora 5.x
NOTE: These instructions are for customers with an email address for @tellurian.net, @tellurian.com, @garden.net, or @lsa.net. If you are a Vmail customer, please see the notes at the bottom of the page about setting up Eudora 5.x.
- Double-click the Eudora icon to open it. If you are installing Eudora for the first time, the New Account Wizard opens, showing the welcome screen.
- Click Next to begin setting up your new email account.
- For Your Name, enter your name as you would like it to appear in your outgoing messages. Click Next.
- For Return Address, enter your email address, usually username@tellurian.com, then click Next.
- For Login Name, enter your username, the part of the email address that comes before the @ sign. Click Next.
- For Incoming E-mail Server, select POP as your mail server type. The server name is pop3.tellurian.com. Click Next.
- Click Finish.
You are now setup to receive, but there are a couple of steps you need to take to be able to send:
- Click Tools and choose Options.
- Scroll through the icons, and choose Sending Mail.
- In the SMTP server field, enter smtp.tellurian.com
- Click OK to save your settings and close the options box.
You are now ready to send and receive email in Eudora 5.x!
If you have VMail or Mail Hosting with Tellurian Networks:
If you are a VMail customer whose address does not end in one of the domains listed above, please follow the below instructions.
- Double-click the Eudora icon to open it. If you are installing Eudora for the first time, the New Account Wizard opens, showing the welcome screen.
- Click Next to begin setting up your new email account.
- For Your Name, enter your name as you would like it to appear in your outgoing messages. Click Next.
- For Return Address, enter your email address, usually username@yourdomain.com, then click Next.
- For Login Name, enter username@yourdomain.com. Click Next.
- For Incoming E-mail Server, select POP as your mail server type. The server name is mail.yourdomain.com. Click Next.
- Click Finish.
