Set-Up Instructions: Windows 98
The following instructions explain how to set-up Windows 98 to dial and connect to Tellurian Networks.
- Double-click the My Computer icon.

- Double-click Dial-Up Networking.

- Double-click Make New Connection.

- Delete the contents of the Type a name for the computer you are dialing field,
and type Tellurian Networks.

- Click [ Next > ]
- For Telephone Number, enter the Tellurian Networks access number you have been
given. Note: if you have to dial the area code to place local calls, enter the area code directy
in front of the 7 digit number, NOT in the box labeled Area Code.

- Click [ Next > ]

- Click [ Finish ]
- Right-Click the Tellurian Networks icon, and click Properties.

- On the General tab, uncheck Use area code and dialing properties.

- Click on the Server Types tab.

- The only item that needs to be checked under "Advanced options:" is "Enable software compression".
- The only item that needs to be checked under "Allowed network protocols:" is "TCP/IP".
- Click [ TCP/IP Settings... ].

- Make sure that the first two options are set to "Server assigned...". Both "Use IP header compression" and "Use default gateway on remore network" should be checked.
- Click [ OK ] and then click [ OK ] again.
- Once again, right-click the Tellurian Networks icon and click Create Shortcut.
- When asked if you would like to place a shortcut on the desktop, click [ Yes ].
